Jul 2021 SG Portfolio Performance: +44.66% ytd, +149.33% total

My Singapore portfolio experiences a 7 month winning streak. So far year-to-date, every month has been a green month. Despite July being a volatile month for SG market due to the reemergence of COVID-19 transmission which resulted in the reversion to Phase 2 (Heightened Alert), my Singapore portfolio managed to bag a return of +7.99% (STI still managed to eek out a +1.58%). Year-to-date return for SG portfolio rose to +44.66% as compared to +10.65% for SGX:ES3 (benchmark STI ETF). Total return for SG portfolio since inception (Jun 2016) now stands at +149.33% while SGX:ES3 is +29.47%. Here are the returns for each month for 2021. I hope it can hit at +50% YTD return this year.

January: +2.36%

February: +4.25%

March: +5.04%

April: +7.10%

May: +11.13%

June: +1.84%

July: +7.99%

Here is any update for some of the stocks that I have shared. I am still holding on to PropNex (SGX:OYY) which I have bought last year. Part of July's gain can be attributed to PropNex. The price has fallen below $2 after breaking out from it earlier in July but I believe uptrend is still intact for now. Also still holding to Pan Hong (SGX:P36) though it has been ranging for the whole July. For SPH REITs (SGX:SK6U) it is not moving much so I may have to let it go if it still not rising in August. That is the rule of the system - let profit run and cut loss quickly. Portfolio currently also include another 4 stocks with 2 of them being a multibagger like PropNex.

Indeed the market turns more volatile after the Fed signals bringing forward the time frame on when it will next raise interest rates (could be as early as 2022!). Expect more volatility to come. Always have an exit plan in place in case things get sour.
