DIYQuant finishes in the Top 10 Leaderboard of the SGX Bull Charge Stock Challenge

Woohoo! I finished the challenge at #7 on the top 10 leaderboard for the SGX Bull Charge Stock Challenge.

The challenge started on 16th August and ended on 31st October 2018. There are a total of 146 finance professionals participating in the challenge. Jointly organised by SGX and InvestingNote, SGX Bull Charge’s inaugural stock challenge will see finance professionals put their trading knowledge to the test, for a good cause!

Due to the short duration of the challenge (2.5 months), the strategy I used attempts to predict the direction of the market based on the percentage of uptrending stocks in the market. This is one of the core components of DIYQuant's trading system which is effective in anticipating market direction and trend reversal. It has successfully predicted the recent market reversals that started in early October and early February (check out the post Once Again DIYQuant System Predicted the Market Reversal). We share this useful information with our subscribers via our weekly reports to keep them at the right side of the market.
