S&P500 plummeted close to 3.5% on Friday after Fed's chairman Jerome Powell warned of more rate hike to bring down inflation. The question now is what will happen to STI in the next few days after S&P500 fell by so much? This has occured about 25 times since 2008. Based on historical data, the average return for STI (I am using the STI ETF ES3.SI in this case) in the next 5 days average to -1.54%. The probably of STI being having negative return in the next 5 days is 0.75. Largest drop was -10%. Largest rebound was 12%.
